The Lempuyang Luhur Temple founded in the 11th century is located south east of Mt Agung the tallest volcanic mountain in Bali standing at 3,013 meters high. Lempuyang Luhur Temple is one of the Sad Kahyangan Temples in Bali. Besides being a Balinese holy place Lempuyang Temple is also a very well known photography spot in Bali where you can see famous Mt. Agung framed perfectly between the massive temple gates known as Candi Bentar or Split gate which is often refered to as The Gateway to Heaven. But there’s more to Lempuyang than just the famous photo-op. It’s part of a larger temple complex spread across the slopes of Mount Lempuyang, a mountain considered sacred in Balinese Hindu culture. Visitors are drawn not only for the Gates of Heaven but also for the tranquil atmosphere, traditional Balinese architecture and statues, and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
After leaving lempuyang the driver will take you to the Tirta Gangga Water Palace. Tirta Gangga was built in 1946 by the King of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Jelantik, whose official title was Anak Agung Gede Agung and was once the palace and summer home for the royal family of Karangasem. You can easily spend an hour exploring the iconic water palace and its maze of manicured gardens, tranquil ponds, and intricate statues. The most famous activity is crossing the trail of stepping stones over the pond and feeding the koi fish that swim beneath. The name ‘Tirta Gangga’ means ‘Water of the Ganges’, a homage to the river in India considered sacred by Hindus across the world.
From there your driver will head down to Virgin Beach just past Candi Dasa on the South East coast of Bali also known as Pantai Pasir Putih, Virgin Beach is a popular, pristine beach in Karangasem offering white sand, clear waters, and a tranquil escape from the crowds so you can relax there or even take a swim in the clear blue waters.
After a relaxing time at Virgin Beach we will take you to the Goa Lawah Temple aslo known as the bat Cave temple. Pura Goa Lawah is a Balinese Hindu temple or a pura located in Klungkung, Bali. Pura Goa Lawah is often included among the Sad Kahyangan Jagad, or the "six sanctuaries of the world", the six holiest places of worship on Bali. This temple was established in the 11th century by Mpu Kuturan, a Hindu Priest. One of the features that attract visitors is the presence of numerous bats in Pura Goa Lawah. We leave this temple till the last stop as if you are there at dusk as you will be able to witness the spectacle of the thousands of bats flying out of the caves.
Once the tour is finished, our driver will then return you back to your hotel or villa. The approximate time for the whole trip is around 10 hours.
