Central Bali Animal Tour

Our experienced driver will pick you up from your hotel or villa after breakfast in the morning to begin your adventure. The pick up time will depend on the location of the hotel or villa you are staying in.

Tegallalang Rice Fields is situated in a valley that offers extraordinarily scenic lookouts over the terraces and surrounding green landscape. Along with the ones in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan, Tegallalang Rice Fields form the three most stunning-looking terraced landscapes in Ubud region. Since it has been listed in UNESCO World Heritage site, this place has gained popularity among international travelers. Nevertheless, it is still a great place to wind down and ease your mind as it offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and some breathtaking views for amazing photographs.

The driver will then take you to the Tegenungan Waterfall. This waterfall sits in a gorge with the village of Tegenungan (in the Kemenuh region) on one side and Blangsinga on the other. So the same waterfall is known by three names; Tegenungan Waterfall (Air Terjun Tegenungan), Blangsinga Waterfall (Air Terjun Blangsinga), and Kemenuh Waterfall. The waterfall is best when enjoyed from the bottom where you can see it close up and swim in the clear, refreshing water beneath it so remember to bring your swimwear and a towel. You can’t swim directly under the waterfall or in the cave behind it as these are cordoned off for safety reasons. There’s a lifeguard on duty at the waterfall making it a family-friendly swimming area. Next to the splash pool, there’s a mini pool with floaties where younger kids can enjoy a splash around too.

After the waterfall you will head off to the Tirta Empul Temple, located in Tampaksiring, it is one of the island's most revered Hindu temples and a significant spiritual destination. Dating back to 962 AD during the Warmadewa dynasty, the temple is dedicated to Vishnu, the god of water, and is celebrated for its sacred spring, which has drawn worshippers for centuries seeking spiritual cleansing and renewal.

The name “Tirta Empul” translates to “holy water spring,” perfectly reflecting the temple’s essence and cultural significance. The holy spring continuously provides crystal-clear water to the temple’s intricately designed purification pools and fountains. This water is believed to hold potent healing properties, making it central to purification rituals like the Melukat Ceremony, where participants immerse themselves in a spiritual journey to cleanse their body, mind, and soul which you can partake in while there.

From there the driver will take you to the Luwak Coffee Plantation. Luwak Coffee or civet coffee is a coffee made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract. A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp. In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acids. Passing through a civet’s intestines the beans are then defecated, keeping their shape. After gathering, thorough washing, sun drying, light roasting and brewing, these beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness, widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world. At Alas Haram there are also many activities you can do such as giant swing, sky bike, and flying fox/zip line.

When you are finished there our driver will then return you back to your hotel or villa. The approximate time for the whole trip is around 10 hours.

Please note that women during their menstruating cycles are not permitted to enter any temple grounds according to the Hindu Faith
